Coronavirus Precautions

Our office and construction sites are currently open. Office staff work remotely wherever possible, and site staff strictly adhere to the Construction Leadership Council (CLC)'s latest guidelines on Site Operating Procedures.

Read on to learn what else Fowlers are doing to keep everyone safe and projects moving during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Office Procedures

  • Remote working wherever possible.
  • Perspex screens form enclosed work cubicles.
  • Masks must be worn in all common areas.
  • Hand gel and face masks available on entry/exit.
  • Additional paper towels available.
  • Minimised visits to office through phone and video calling.

Site Procedures

  • Strictly following the latest Construction Leadership Council (CLC) and HSE guidelines.
  • Weekly in-house COVID-19 toolbox talks.
  • Non-contact temperature testing on entry and exit, recorded for contact-tracing purposes.
  • COVID-19 Station at entrance of all sites with PPE available including face masks and hand gel, and COVID-19 safety guidance posters displayed.
  • Teams stay together from one job to the next to minimise risk of cross-infection.
  • Public transport is not permitted.
  • Van Sharing must be approved by managing director, and is limited to a maximum of 2 persons per vehicle. Windows must be opened and occupants must wear face coverings.
  • Company vehicles are regularly sanitised.
  • Displaying Staying COVID-19 Secure informational poster on all sites.
  • Site visits from office personnel (e.g. contracts manager) limited to one site per day to reduce cross-contamination risk.
